Taking the earth system information flow as the main object, it mainly publishes original academic articles, innovative engineering application articles, and related briefs on the mechanism, cognition method, and spatial-temporal map of earth information, the “Digital Earth” strategy, and the global change. Special attention is paid to the latest research results of earth system science and related interdisciplinary subjects. The main columns of Journal of Geo-Information Science are: theory and method of Earth Information Science, geoscience information model, virtual geographical environment, the theory and application of geographic information system (GIS), development of GIS platform, mechanism of remote sensing technology, application of remote sensing in resources and environment, network algorithm and application, and the dynamics of the Academy. The journal is suited to scientific researchers, engineers, technicians, and decision makers who are engaged in theoretical research on earth information science or applied research on geographic information system, remote sensing, surveying and mapping, information acquisition of resource and environment, etc.
