Abstract:
Princess Royal Island is located in the Southwest Canada, the most northeast of the Pacific Ocean. It faces the Hecate Strait in the west, 2.42 km separated from Gribbell Island in the north, and 75 km separated from Swindle Island in the south. The Princess Royal Island is in British Columbia Province of Canada. The geo-location of the Island is between 52°36'2"N and 53°18'28"N, 128°36'2"N and 53°18'28"N. The total area of the Island is 2286.38 km² based on the Albers projection, and the coastline is 659.41 km based on the Lambert projection. The dataset is developed based on the Global Multiple Scale Shorelines Dataset Based on Google Earth images (2015), combined with relevant maps of Canada. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 16 data files with data size of 4.43 MB (compressed to two data files with 1.69 MB).
