Abstract:
Trangan Island is an island located in the Aru Islands, northern of Arafura Sea in the Indian Ocean. The Trangan Island is 0.48 km separated from Maikoor Island in the north, and 505.26 km separated from mainland of the Oceania in the south, and 126.97 km separated from Kei Besar Island in the northwest, and 6.16 km from Babi Island in the east. The geo-location of the Trangan Island is between 6°9'36"S and 6°56'30"S, 134°3'5"E and 134°31'51"E. It is in Maluku Province of Indonesia. The total area of the Trangan Island is 2386.36 km² based on the Albers projection, and the coastline is 607.78 km based on the Lambert projection. The dataset is developed based on the Global Multiple Scale Shorelines Dataset based on Google Earth images (2015), combined with map of Indonesia. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 16 data files with data size of 2.41 MB (compressed to two files with 984 KB).
