Abstract:
Cornwall Island is located in the Arctic Ocean and is part of the Svedrup Islands in the Queen Elizabeth Islands of Canada. It is 12.48km separated from Amund Ringnes Island in the northwest, 44.30km separated from Graham Island in its east, and 44.05km from Devon Island in the south. Its geo-location is between 77°26'07"N and 77°49'05"N, 96°19'44"W and 93°04'53"W. The outline of the Cornwall Island is like a rectangular with about 76 km from east to west and 35 km from north to south. It belongs to the Nunavut Region, Canada. The total area of the Cornwall Island calculated based on the Albers projection is 2285.75km&sup, and the coastline calculated based on the Lambert projection is 312.46km. The dataset is based on the Global Multiple Scale Shorelines Dataset based on Google Earth images (2015), combined with maps of Canada. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 17 data files with data size of 1.58 MB (compressed to two files with 699 KB).
