Abstract:
Obi Island is the main island in the Obi Islands inIndonesia. It is 4.28 km separated from Bisa Island in the north, 2.38 km from Obilatu Island in the northwest and 14.05 km from Tobalai Island in the east .Its geo-location is between 1°44′17″S and 1°19′50″S, 127°23′30″E and 128°10'6″E. The Obi Island belongs to Maluku of Indonesia. The total area of the Obi Island is 2462.59 km² based on the Albers projection, and the coastline is 309.09 km long based on the Lambert projection. The main village, Laiwui, is located at the northeastern of the island. The dataset is developed based on the Global Multiple Scale Shorelines Dataset based on Google Earth images (2015), combined with maps of Indonesia. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 25 data files with data size of 972 KB (compressed to three data files with 424 KB).
