Abstract:
Elevation classification dataset of Kashgar River Basin was developed based on the Advanced Space borne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer Global Digital Elevation Model version 3 30 m (ASTER GDEM V3) data. The elevation was divided into 14 types. Among them, the elevation below 1500 m was divided into one type. Those regions above 1500 m were divided into 13 types for every 500 m. Then the area of each type was calculated. The dataset is archived in .tif data format, and consists of 6 data files with data size of 398 MB (Compressed to one single file with 2.24 MB).
