Abstract:
The Cyclades, islands group in Greece, is located in the southern part of the Aegean Sea, and adjacent to the Dodecanese in the Southeast. It belongs to Cyclades of Greece, and its geo-location is between 36°13′15″N and 37°59′59″N, 24°06′02″E and 26°05′10″E. The Cyclades consists of 600 islands (area of the smallest is 20 m²), including Naxos Island, Andros Island, Paros Island, Tinos Island, Milos Island, Kea Island, Amorgos Island, Ios Island, Kithnos Island, Mikonos Island, Siros Island, Sifnos Island, Thira Island, Serifos Island, etc. In the Cyclades, the Naxos Island is the largest one with an area of 429.22 km². The total area of the Cyclades is 2593.17 km², and the length of the coastline is 2489.96 km. The dataset was developed based on Google Earth images around 2015. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 17 data files with data size of 18.7 MB (Compressed into 2 files with 12.6 MB).
