Abstract：
The video is a record of the author’s speech at the 2023 New Year Forum on Geographical Indications Environment & Sustainability (GIES) hosted by the Geographical Society of China on December 30, 2022 in Beijing, China. The speaker indicated that there were four advantages of the GIES program, they were: geographical sciences were integrated with the geographical products; specific model to run the program, open science for benefiting villages and counties and digital technology applications. Four recommendations were made in the speech, they were: continue to pay more attention to the scientific applications, a series of standards for the GIES could be the most important part to make the GIES more efficient, promote the brand of each of the products based on the GIES, and enhance the international cooperation. The video is recorded in .mp3 data format, consists of one file with data size of 10.4 MB. It takes 10:59 minutes.
