Abstract:
Volcano archipelago is located in the southernmost of Ogasawara Islands. It is governed by the Tokyo administrative jurisdiction (Tokyo Metropolitan Department), Japan. The geolocation of Volcano archipelago is from 141°16'19"E to 141°28'23"E and latitude from 24°13'29"N to 25°26'56"N. Volcano archipelago is consisted of Iwo Jima, North Iwo Jima, South Iwo Jima, and a series of small islands. Iwo Jima, North Iwo Jima, and South Iwo Jima are active volcanoes. The highest peak is located in South Iwo Jima. The total area of the islands in the Volcano archipelago is 34.82 km², and coastline is 44.01 km long.The dataset is developed based on Google Earth imagery integrated with thematic maps. The dataset is archived in both .kmz and .shp formats with compressed data size of 111KB.
