Abstract:
Vegetation Net Primary Productivity (NPP) can reflect the carbon sequestration capacity of vegetation at regional and global scales. National barrier zone of China was taken as the study area. Firstly, photosynthetically active radiation (APAR) was calculated from MOD13A2 NDVI, Chinese vegetation map, total solar radiation, temperature and humidity; secondly, water stress factors were simulated according to the regional evaporation model; thirdly, the photosynthetically active radiation and actual light energy utilization rate were input to the CASA model, and lastly, the 1km NPP product in the national barrier zone of China (2000-2015) was developed. Compared with the MOD17A3 NPP data from 2000, 2005, 2010, and 2015, the results have high consistency. The unit of NPP is gC/m², the projection coordinate system is WGS_1984_Albers, and the spatial resolution is 1 km. The dataset is archived in .tif data format, and consists of 15 data files with data size of 101 MB (compressed to one single file with 53.8 MB).
