Abstract:
Mr. WANG Yangming (1472-1529), born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province of China, was a famous thinker, writer, philosopher, and military strategist of the Ming Dynasty. The spatial-temporal dataset of footprints of Wang Yangming's activity in Zhejiang Province of China was developed based on Wang's biographical data, integrated with geographical and historical perspectives. The dataset includes: (1) text data, which is consisted of the information on Wang's activities in Zhejiang, including the year, placename, office position, cultural relics, publications and events; (2) ArcGIS data of point and 3D line of Wang’s footprint. The dataset consists of 16 data files with data size of 258 KB (compressed into one file, 114 KB).
