Abstract:
Based on MODIS MOD09A1 and SRTM DEM data products, each of the lake boundaries at Tibetan Plateau (2000-2016) were developed, where the water surface area was larger than 50 km² in high flow period (from July to September). There are more than 100 lakes (the lakes number are different in different year) such as Qinghai Lake, Nam Co, Selin Co, Gyaring Lake, Bangong Co. The dataset was archived in .shp data format with the spatial resolution of 500 m. The location and area of each lake are recorded in the attribute data. The dataset was composed of 357 data files with data size of 16.9 MB (Compressed to one data file with 3.90 MB). The analysis paper based on the dataset was published in the Journal of Lake Sciences, Vol.31, No.2, 2019.
