Abstract：
The South Sandwich Islands is part of the South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. It is located in the southern Atlantic Ocean, southeast of South Georgia Group. It belongs to the British Overseas Territory and its geo-location is 56°16′44″S- 59°27′44″S, 27°36′26″W- 26°16′8″W. There are 26 islands in the South Sandwich Islands, shaping like an arc, and the main islands include: Montagu Island, Saunders Island, Bristol Island, Visokoi Island, Cook Island, Thule Island, Zavodovski Island, Candlemas Island, Vindication Island, and Bellingshausen Island. Among them, Montagu Island is the largest, with the area of 100.51 km² and the shoreline of 45.28 km. The total area of the South Sandwich Islands is 254.82 km² and the coastline is 231.76 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 17 data files and archived in the .kmz and .shp data formats with the data size of 1.72 MB (Compressed to 728 KB in two files).
