Abstract:

Based on the MOD09A1 product on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP), enhanced vegetation index (EVI) was calculated, and the time series EVI of the growing season from 2001 to 2016 was reconstructed using the double logistic function filter. A dynamic threshold method was used to extract the vegetation phenological (SOG, Start of growth season; EOG, End of growth season; LOG, Long of growth season). The threshold value of the rejuvenation period was set at 10% of the left side of the annual EVI curve, and the yellow period was set at 50% of the right side of the annual EVI curve. Then the phenology dataset of vegetation in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (2001-2016) was developed. The dataset is archived in .tif format with a spatial resolution of 500m. The dataset consists of 272 data files with a data size of 375 MB (compressed to one single file with 360 MB). The analysis paper based on the dataset was published at Journal of Applied Remote Sensing, Vol. 13, No. 4, 2019.
