Abstract:
Stefansson Island is an island in Canadian Arctic Archipelago, and located in the Arctic Ocean. It is only 228 m separated from Victoria Island in its southwest, separated from Melville Island by Viscount Melville Sound in its north, and from Prince of Wales Island by M’Clintock Channel in its southeast. Its geo-location is between 72°51'0"N and 73°46'21"N, 107°0'43"W and 104°26'48"W. It is administrated by the Nunavut, Canada. The total area of the Stefansson Island calculated based on Albers projection is 4521.96 km², and the coastline calculated based on Lambert projection is 530.86 km. The dataset is developed based on the Global Multiple Scale Shorelines Dataset based on Google Earth images (2015), combined with maps of Canada. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 17 data files with data size of 1.15 MB (compressed to two data files with 848 KB).
