Abstract：
The Aksu River Basin is the catchment area of the Aksu River and its upstream tributaries. The geolocation of Aksu basin of is between 40°10'53"N and 42°23'23"N, 75°05'19"E and 81°55'16"E. The basin area is 79604.83 km² (Albers projection) and its perimeter is 2840.75 km (Lambert projection). The Aksu River Basin is a transnational basin with about 71.93% of the total basin area in China (within the Aksu Administration Region and Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region); 27.83% in Kyrgyzstan and 0.14% in Kazakhstan. The Aksu River Basin contains 42 major rivers such as Aksu, Taxkan and Tarim rivers. Their main stream lengths are 127.66 km (Aksu), 360.18 km (Taxkan River), and 106.19 km (part of Tarim in Aksu basin), respectively. The dataset is consisted of (1) boundary data of the Aksu River Basin; (2) river system in the Aksu River Basin. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 26 data files with data size of 63.60 MB (compressed to 3 files with 42.90 MB).
