Abstract:
With the influence of climate change and the rapid growth in livestock numbers, the ecosystem in northern part of Mongolia has significantly degraded, threatening regional sustainable development. The simulation dataset of livestock system in four Soums in Northern Mongolia (2022-2050) was developed based on the integration of the socioeconomic statistics data, spatial data including land cover, Net Primary Productivity (NPP) from 2015 to 2022 and data of land cover and Net Primary Productivity (NPP) under CMIP6 SSP-RCPs scenarios during 2022-2050, using the Vensim System Dynamic Model. The dataset includes the following data in four Soums including Tumurbulag, Khutag-Undur, Zuunburen, and Orkhon: (1) boundaries of the study area; (2) estimated forage production, carrying capacity, livestock inventory, and livestock output under the three socioeconomic-climate scenarios, such as SSP1-RCP2.6, SSP2-RCP4.5, and SSP5-RCP8.5. The dataset is archived in .shp and .xlsx formats, and consists of 9 data files with data size of 142 KB (Compressed into one file with 113 KB).
