Abstract:
Accessibility refers to the convenience from a certain place to a given activity spot with the help of a specific transport system. Taking 31 central cities in China (Hong Kong, Macao and Taipei are not included) as study samples and the data from the train passenger schedule book, May 2013, the accessibility statistics dataset of railway passenger transportation from 31 central cities in China(2013)was developed by using the analysis methodology of accessibility and community. The dataset is consisted of the following data contents: (1) Statistic data on average accessibility of central cities in China and its improved degree; (2) The number of prefecture-level cities covered by central city's DCA and the types of central cites; (3) Data on the daily communication areas of the five central cities; (4) Cities covered by DCA based on common railway and high speed-railway network. The dataset is archived in .xlsx format with data size of 34KB. The analysis paper was published in the Journal of Scientia Geographica Sinica, No. 4, Vo. 35, 2015.
