Abstract:
Berry Islands, part of Bahama Islands, is located in northern of Atlantic Ocean, 218km to the eastern coast of Florida, America and 28km to the Andros Island of Bahama. Its geolocation is between 25°23′25″N and 25°49′40″N,77°56′55″W and 77°42′40″W. The Berry Islands is consisted of 118 Islands and cays (the smallest island or cay is 42m²), in which each area of 11 islands is bigger than 1km², they are Great Harbour Cay, Chub Cay, Whale Cay, Bonds Cay, Lignumvitae Cay, Hoffmann's Cay, Fanny Cay, Ambergris Cay, Little Harbour Cay, Great Stirrup Cay and Bird Cay. The total area of the Berry Islands is 56.88km2 and the coastline is 307.00km long. The biggest island in the Berry Islands is Great Harbour Island with an area of 23.58km². The dataset is developed based on the Google Earth images and the referenced maps. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data format with the compressed data size of 1.23MB.
