Abstract:

Banks Island, part of the Canada Arctic Archipelago, is located in the west of Victoria Island. Banks Island belongs to the Inuvik Region, Northwest Territories, Canada. Its geo-location is between 71°04′44″N and 74°33′37″N, 115°17′27″W and 126°00′27″W. The area of the Banks Island is 70627.72 km², and the coastline is 1887.50 km long. The dataset is developed based on the Google Earth images and the referenced maps. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files, archived in both .kmz and .shp data formats with the data size of 6.11 MB (compressed to 2.44 MB in two files).
