Lexiewudan Lake, also called Xiangqincuona in Tibetan, meaning “North Black River”, is located in the west of Hoh Xili, Qinghai Province, China. It is an inland saltwater lake on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Its geo-location is 35°41′6″N - 35°49′30″N, 90°0′38″E - 90°21′13″E. Lexiewudan Lake is in the fault basin created in Cenozoic. It is narrow and long from west to east, where the Kunlun Mountains in the north and Hoh xili Mountain in the south. The catchment area of the lake is 268.33 km², and the lake shore is 127.48 km². There are three small islands in the lake, with areas of 58414 m², 23908 m ² and 3369 m², and shoreline of 1751 m, 676 m and 233 m separately. Among the surface runoff, the Dongquan River originated from the Malan Snow Mountain is the largest; followed by the Baisha River, which originated from the northern slope of the Donggang Zari Glacier. The vegetation type around the lake is mainly Carex chinensis and Acacia purpurea steppe. The dataset is developed based on Google Earth images (2015) and related maps. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, it consists of 22 data files with data size of 2.07 MB (Compressed to 743 KB in two data files).
