Abstract:
Nottingham Island is located in the northeast of entrance to Hudson Bay, western part of the Hudson Strait. It is one island in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. It is 53.8 km separated from Mill Island in its north, 88.4 km separated from Southampton Island in its northwest, and 21.8 km from Salisbury Island in its east. The geo-location of the Nottingham Island is between 63°5′19″N and 63°29′14″N, 77°29′22″W and 78°32′16″W. It belongs to the Qikiqtaaluk region, Nunavut of Canada. The area of the Island is 1358.20 km² based on the Albers projection, and the coastline is 342.41 km based on the Lambert projection. The dataset is developed based on Global Multiple Scale Shorelines Dataset based on Google Earth images (2015), combined with maps of Canada. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 15 data files with data size of 1.83 MB (compressed to two data files with 736 KB).
