Abstract:

The Panshi Rice Lanjia Village Case on Permanent Basic Farmland was listed on the Geographical Indications Environment & Sustainability (GIES Case No.3), which is part of Innovation China program. By open science technology, the video shows the ecosystem and the socio-economic development of the rice cultivation in Lanjia village, Panshi city, Jilin province of China. The paddy field area was 61 hectares in the village. The case area is located in the transitional zone from the Changbai Mountain to the Songnen Plain. It belongs to a hilly and semi-mountainous area and is formed by clean water sources such as ice and snow water and natural precipitation. The water quality is better than that of the urban drinking water, and the soil type is paddy soil in black soil area. The currently planted rice varieties are mid-late maturity varieties. An automatic observation station for the rice habitat has been established, which can record more than 10 parameters, including air temperature, precipitation, etc. The rice products from the case area can be retrieved by Quick Response Code (QR Code), as well as DOI registration identifier. The video is archived in .mov and .mp4 formats, it takes 4:59 minutes.
