Abstract:
The Oases in the middle section of the northern slope of Tianshan Mountains (MNTianshan for short) is located between 43°18′58″N and 45°49′02″N, 83°29′20″E and 90°39′48″E, covering the area of Tacheng, Bortala Mongol Autonomous, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefectures, Urumqi City and Karamay City of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The Oases in MNSTianshan consists of 11 oases with a total area of 35,924.05 km² (Albers). The largest oasis has an area of 34,941.06 km². The main rivers that nourish the oases are the Manas River, Santun River and Hutubi River, whose main streams are 403.97 km, 182.13 km and 176.62 km long respectively. The area of the MNTianshan is 31,995.12 km². The elevation of the MNTianshan is divided into 10 categories. The dataset includes: (1) boundary of oases; (2) water systems that nourish the oases; (3) boundary of MNTianshan, and (4) the elevation classification of the MNTianshan. The dataset is archived in .kmz, .shp and .tif data formats, and consists of 70 data files with data size of 207 MB (Compressed into 5 files with 70.4 MB).
