Abstract：
Based on the Insurance Year Book of China and Cities Statistics Year Book of China (1999, 2017) as well as a series of references about the annual reports from insurance companies, the Property Insurance Market Analysis Dataset in Prefecture Level of China (2016) was developed. The dataset is consisted of: (1) overall development of property insurance market in prefecture level areas of China in 2016; (2) payment level of property insurance market in prefecture level areas of China in 2016; (3) firm structure of property insurance market in prefecture level areas of China in 2016; (4) product structure of property insurance market in prefecture level areas of China in 2016; (5) spatial variation of property insurance market of China in 2016. The dataset is archived in .xlsx data format with data size of 21.9 MB in one data file. The analysis paper based on the dataset was published at the journal of Acta Geographica Sinica, Vol.72, No.8, 2017.
