Abstract:

Fusong Quanyang Mineral Water Basalt Lava Forestry has been listed as GIES Case 34. The video systematically presents the natural environments, scientific protection, and green industry collaborative development pathway of the Quanyang Mineral Water source through visual graphics, on-site footage, and animated demonstrations. The case area is located in the Fusong Quanyang Forest Ecological Zone - core Changbai Mountains, which is recognized as one of the world’s golden water source regions, Fusong Mineral water is a metasilicic acid-type natural mineral water, naturally weakly alkaline, with a metasilicic acid content of 28.1 mg/L. It is rich in beneficial trace elements such as strontium, zinc, and lithium, and has a palatability index of 5.8. It is the source of the standard of “Geographical Indication – Jilin Changbai Mountain Drinking Natural Mineral Water”. The superior water quality is governed by the unique biogeochemical processes of Changbai Mountain, where weakly acidic, organic-rich soils and basalt parent material jointly drive mineral release. The high forest coverage and rich biodiversity constitute a triple ecological barrier of “source – medium – habitat” around the spring area. The GIES station was established around the origion of the Quanyang Spring water, the near real time data such as water level, temperature, and electrical conductivity etc. can be accessed and traced via QR code. The video is archived in .mp4 format, and has a duration of 4 minutes and 59 seconds.
