Abstract:
The Case of Ji’an Forest-Grown Panax Ginseng in Temperate Conifer-Broadleaf Mixed Forest of Huadian Town was listed as GIES Case No. 31. The case study area is located in Huadian Town, Ji’an City, Jilin Province of China. It is on the southern foothills of the Changbai Mountains, and represents one of the major production areas of forest-grown Panax ginseng in Jilin Province. The area is characterized by favorable water, soil, and forest ecological conditions. Forest-grown Panax ginseng refers to ginseng that is artificially sown and subsequently grows under natural conditions in a forest environment resembling the natural habitat of wild ginseng. The forest-grown Panax ginseng produced in the study area exhibits well-developed morphological characteristics, and its major quality indicators meet or exceed the relevant requirements specified in Identification and Grade Quality Standards of Wild Ginseng (GB/T 18765—2015). Through an integrated presentation of visualized graphics, text, sound, and video footage, this video demonstrates the natural ecological environment, habitat investigation and analysis, product quality, and industrial development of Forest-grown Panax ginseng in the study area. It further illustrates the close relationship between favorable forest habitats and high-quality Forest-grown Panax ginseng products, highlighting the practical achievements in coordinating ecological resource conservation with the development of specialty industries. The dataset is archived in .mp4 format, and the video in Chinese has a duration of 4 minutes and 46 seconds (4:46).
