Abstract:
Salt Lake Keke, also known as Dausunol (meaning “Cyan Salt Lake”), is located in the Qinghai province of China, northeast corner of Qaidam Basin, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It is one of the special salt producing lakes in China. Its geo-location is between 36°52′35″N and 36°59′24″N, 98°3′17″E and 98°21′15″E. The lake is irregular and nearly rectangular, with an area of 119.73 km² and a lake shoreline of 77.70 km in 2015. Under the arid climate, the lake is with annual average temperature of 2-4 ℃, annual precipitation of 150 mm only, and annual evaporation of 3,000 mm more. The water supply mainly depends on groundwater and seasonal surface runoff. The Salt Lake Keke dataset is developed based on Google Earth (2015) and related maps. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, it is consisted of 15 data files with data size of 178 KB (Compressed to two data files with data size of 77.1 KB).
