Abstract：

The Annual Conference of the Geographic Information Industry Society of China was held on October 14, 2021 in Wuhan, China. The author was invited to make a keynote report titled on making concerted efforts to promote the geographic information industry to a new level at the conference. The video recorded the report in 32:08 minutes. At the report, the author summarized the progress on China's geographic industry in terms of active innovation, keeping the valuable growth and the leading enterprises began to provide services in overseas. At the same time, there were a number of challenges for the geoinfomatics industry of China to be dealing with. These problems include technology innovation, investigation, data reusing, data security, industry ecosystem etc. The report also pointed out the opportunities for the geoinfomatics industry development, including encouraging entrepreneurship, adjusting enterprise development strategy in time, building a sound industrial ecological chain and international business environment, increasing investigation for science and technology, etc. This video data consists of two versions: low resolution (998 MB, for mobile phone or PC) and high resolution (3.62 GB, for large screen). The data format is .mp4 and .mpg. The two versions’ parameters of the video are as the following: frame width 1264 / 1888, frame height 720 / 1080, data rate 4202 / 16002 kbps, total bit rate 4331 / 16130 kbps and both frame rate is 25 /s. The audio bit rate, which is dual channel (stereo), is 128 / 128 kbps and the frequency is 44 kHz. The total video data size is 4.60 GB. The data can be downloaded to be played locally, or directly to be played in the server. The printed paper of this report was published at the journal of Geomatics World in volume 28, No. 5 (October 2021).
