Abstract:

Kushuihuan Lake is located in the western end of Hoh Xili, Qinghai Province, China. It is an inland freshwater lake on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. The geo-location is 35°57′45″ - 36°1′0″N, 90°2′33″E - 90°11′19″E. The Kushuihuan Lake is located in the fault basin of Weixueshan Mountain and Heituofeng Peak. It is a structural lake, approximate trapezoid in shape with long in the south and short in the north. The area of the lake is 35.41 km², and the lake shoreline is 48.11 km long. It is in semiarid desert climate with an average elevation of 5000 m, annual average temperature of -3 ℃ and annual precipitation of about 150 mm. The water in the Kushuihuan Lake mainly depends on the intermittent surface runoff and melt-water of ice and snow, among which an intermittent river from Xuelian Mountain is the largest surface runoff into the lake. The dataset is developed based on Google Earth images (2015) and related maps. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, consists of 15 data files with data size of 524 KB (Compressed to 203 KB in two data files).
