Abstract:
Hydraulic fracturing experiments were carried out on coal samples of No. 3 coal (buried 195 meters deep) from Chengzhuang (CZ) (35.61°N, 112.73°E)and Sihe Mine (SH) (35.57°N, 112.60°E) in Qinshui Basin, Shanxi Province of China in August 2019. The original coal samples and samples after hydraulic fracturing were taken for low-temperature liquid nitrogen adsorption experiments and high-pressure mercury injection experiments respectively. The pores above 50 nm were characterized by high-pressure mercury injection experiment, and those below 50 nm were characterized by low-temperature liquid nitrogen adsorption experiment. The characteristics of pore changes of coal before and after hydraulic fracturing were analyzed to obtain the laboratory analysis dataset of coal pore changes after hydraulic fracturing in Qinshui Basin, Shanxi Province of China. The dataset includes: (1) pore size distribution of different coal samples before and after hydraulic fracturing; (2) pore volume of different coal samples before and after hydraulic fracturing; (3) pore specific surface area of different coal samples before and after hydraulic fracturing. The dataset is archived in .xlsx data format and consists of one single file with data size of 49.8 KB.
