Abstract：
Based on the records from public media about the Iraq War from March 20 to April 15, 2003, the 40 events of the war were geolocated with the OpenStreetMap and analyzed using kernel density methodology. The Iraq War Events Geolocated and Kernel Density Dataset (2003) was developed. The dataset is consisted of: 1) geolocations of 40 events in the Iraq War; 2) the kernel density of the event data. The dataset is archived in .shp and .tif formats, and consists of 13 data files with data size of 541 KB (compressed to one file with 77.9 KB). The analysis paper based on the dataset will be published at Acta Geographica Sinica, Vol. 79, 2024.
