Abstract:
Based on the Global and Regional Assimilation and Prediction System (GRAPES-GFS) model, the author provided the forecasting weather information in 0.25°spatial resolution for the following 24-192 hours in May 2013. The forecasting results were made in each 6 hours. The dataset is consisted of 8 tables, they are: table 1. Kinetic energy spectra at the selected levels spanning 500 to 10hPa; table 2. Change point wavenumber and the slope of the two change point segments; table 3. Rotational, divergent and total components of the kinetic energy spectrum at 200hPa; table 4. Rotational, divergent and total components of the kinetic energy spectrum at 150hPa; table 5. Rotational, divergent and total components of the kinetic energy spectrum at 100hPa; table 6. Rotational and divergent components of the kinetic energy spectrum at 200,150 and 100hPa; table 7. Wave number at which the rotational and divergent components intersect as a function of the altitude; table 8. Divergent kinetic energy spectral slope as function of the altitude. The dataset is archived in the .xlsx format with the data size of 170KB. The research paper was published at the Journal of Acta Metror Sinica, No.5, Vol.73, 2015.
