Abstract：
Socio-economic data in pixels is an important bridge to study the interaction between human and environment. Nowadays, pixel based research on global socio-economic data mainly focus on the people and GDP (Gross Domestic Product) in pixels. However, due to the limitation of techniques, the spatialized data of sub-industrial sector added value is still very limited. Industrial added value data is an indicator to evaluate the impacts of climate change on industrial economic systems, especially for the assessment of exposure of industrial economy facing climate change. The Global Industrial Added Value 1km Grid Dataset was developed using a new built regression model. Nighttime light data, vegetation index data and national statistical data of industrial added value data were adopted in the process of spatial inversion. We randomly selected 178 provincial (state) regions in the world to assess the precision. The results show that the correlation coefficient between industrial added value data set and statistical data is up to 0.93. Taking the statistical data as the value for assessment, the average accuracy of the dataset reaches to 80.14%. The Global Industrial Added Value 1km Grid Dataset is consisted of 6 data files in .tif、xlsx data formats, the data size is 1.79 GB (1 compressed data file with the data size of 90.8 MB).
