Abstract：

The Andaman Islands is the main part of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands of India. It belongs to the Indian Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Its geo-location is 10°30′39″N-13°40′36″N, 92°11′55″E-94°16′38″E. It is located between the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea. It is separated from Coco Islands of Myanmar by Coco Chanel at its north, from Nicobar Islands by Ten Degree Chanel at its south. The Andaman Islands is consisted of Great Andaman Archipelago, Little Andaman Group, Ritchie’s Archipelago, East Volcano Islands, and Sentinel Islands. There are 182 islands in Andaman Islands, in which, 146 islands in Great Andaman Archipelago, 3 islands in Little Andaman Group, 23 islands in Ritchie’s Archipelago, 2 islands in East Volcano Islands, and 8 islands in Sentinel Islands. The area of Great Andaman Archipelago, Little Andaman Group, Ritchie’s Archipelago, East Volcano Islands, and Sentinel Islands are 4741.40, 694.39, 251.05, 15.85, and 52.40 km², respectively. The total area of the Andaman Islands is 5755.09 km², and the coastline is 2762.01 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and .shp data formats with the data size of 9.96 MB (Compressed to 3.95 MB in two files).
