Abstract：
Rocky desertification is the primary ecological problem in the Karst areas in Southwest China. In 2008, the National Development and Reform Commission organized and implemented the "pilot project of comprehensive control of rocky desertification" in 100 counties. Later, at the end of the first phase of comprehensive control of karst rocky desertification in 2014, it expanded to 314 counties before the second phase (the implementation year of the second phase is 2016-2020). The boundary dataset of Karst rocky desertification in Southwest China covers area of 314 counties of 7 provinces and one city. The total area is 791,039.19 km², with latitude from 21°35′48″N to N33°15′34″N and longitude from 98°35′40″E to 114°58′01″E. The dataset is archived in .shp format, and consists of 8 files with data size of 1.04 MB (Compressed into one file with 738 KB).
