Abstract:

Annual average sea surface temperature dataset in the sea area 40 km offshore from Chabahar (Iran) to Ormara (Pakistan) (1990-2017) was developed based on global monthly average sea surface temperature products (AVHRR_OI-NCEI-L4-GLOB-v2.0). Firstly, the global annual average sea surface temperature was calculated, and then, clipped it to get the annual average sea surface temperature data products in the sea area 40 km offshore from Chabahar (Iran) to Ormara (Pakistan). The data result shows that the trend of annual average sea surface temperature increased slowly from 1990 to 2017. The annual average sea surface temperature in 1991 was the lowest, at 26.03℃; while the sea surface temperature in 2010 was the highest, reaching 27.41℃, with a difference of 1.38℃. The data spatial resolution is 0.083027°. The dataset is consisted of 28 data files in .tif data format with data size of 1.79 MB (Compressed to one single file with data size of 33.1 KB).
