Abstract:
The Kiltan Island, also Kiltan Atoll, is located at Laccadive Sea. It belongs to the Lakshadweep District of Union Territory of Lakshadweep of India, and it is the most eastern island of Aminidivi Islands. Its geo-location is 11°28′5″N-11°29′50″N, 72°59′50″E-73°0′39″E. It is separated from the Kadmat Island 33 km at its southwest and from Chetlat Island 37.5 km at its northwest. The island in northwest to southeast is 3.3 km long and only 650 m wide from east to west. The Island lies in the eastern part of the Kiltan Atoll, the western part of the Atoll is the Kiltan Lagoon and reef. The area of Kiltan Island is 1.75 km², and coastline is 7.77 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and shp data formats with the data size of 34.6 KB (Compressed to 15.0 KB in two files).
