Abstract:

The Middle Andaman Island is located in middle of the Andaman Islands, the Bay of Bengal. It is separated from North Andaman Island by Austen Strait, and from Baratang Island at the south by Hom-fray's Strait, and from Interview Islands at its west by Interview Passage. It belongs to the North and Mid-dle Andaman administrative district, part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Its geo-location is 12°17′44″N-12°55′37″N, 92°41′4″E-92°58′48″E. Its area is 1488.10 km², and the coastline is 369.19 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and shp data formats with the data size of 842 KB (Compressed to 335 KB in two files).
