Abstract:
The Coco Islands belongs to the Cocokyun Township of South Yangon District of Yangon Region of Myanmar. It is separated from the Bay of Bengal at its west, from the Andaman Sea at its east, from the Preparis Island by the Preparis North Chanel 76 km at its north, and from Landfall Island by the Coco Channel 40 km at its southwest. The geo-location of the Coco Islands is 13°58′16″N-14°11′36″N, 93°13′7″E-93°22′57″E. It is consisted of the Great Coco Reef and the Little Coco Island. The main islands in the Great Coco Reef are Slipper Island, Table Island, Great Coco Island, and Jerry Island, in which the biggest one is Great Coco Island, with the area of 14.63 km². The total area of the Coco Islands is 20.25 km², and the coastline is 50.35 km. The dataset was developed based on the Google Earth and related maps and references. The dataset is consisted of 15 data files and archived in the .kmz and .shp data formats with the data size of 328 KB (Compressed to 138 KB in two files).
