Abstract:
Air Force Island is located between Baffin Island and Prince Charles Islandin the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, northeastern of Foxe Basin in the Arctic Ocean. The Air Force Island is 25.3 km separated from Foley Island in its northwest, and 10 km separated from Prince Charles Island in its west, and 23.2 km from Baffin Island in its east. The geo-location of the Air Force Island is between 67°44'9"N and 68°11'9"N, 73°19'46"W and 74°47'30"W. It is in Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut, Canada. The area of the Air Force Island is 1863.34 km² based on the Albers projection, and the coastline is 239.15 km based on the Lambert projection. The dataset is developed based on the Global Multiple Scale Shorelines Dataset based on Google Earth images (2015), combined with maps of Canada. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 16 data files with data size of 357 KB (compressed to two data files with 185 KB).
