Abstract:

Beijing is center of railway transportation hubs in China. Based on the “China railway time table” (1996, 2003, 2009) and the official website of China Railway (www.12306.cn), the authors collected, sorted, calculated, and compiled the dataset of the shortest railway time from Beijing to 226 cities in China (1996, 2003, 2009, 2016) and the indicators were calculated. The dataset includes the geo-locations of the 226 cities and the distances between each of them to Beijing city, the shortest railway time from Beijing to 226 cities in the year 1996, 2013, 2009, 2016, time-space conversion parameters and the deformed geographical coordinates of 226 cities. The dataset is archived in .xlsx data format with 908 records and a data size of 188 KB. The analysis paper based on the dataset was published at the journal of Acta Geodaeticaet Cartographica Sinica, Vol. 47, No. 1, 2018; the data paper of the dataset will be published at the Journal of Global Change Data & Discovery, Vol.4, No4, 2020.Browse
