Abstract:
Jersey Island is a British Royal possession, located at the English Channel, west side of Normandy Peninsula. It is the largest island in the Channel Islands. It is 19.26 km separated from the Sark Island in its northwest, and 48.92 km from the Alderney Island in its north. The Geo-location of the Jersey Island is between 49°9′45″N and 49°15′44″N, 2°0′38″W and 2°15′17″W. The area of the Jersey Island is 121.63 km² based on the Albers projection, and the coastline is 100.25 km long based on the Lambert projection. St Helier, located at the southern coast of the island, is the main city. The dataset includes the boundary data and the main settlement data. The dataset is archived in .kmz and .shp data formats, and consists of 26 data files with data size of 499 KB (compressed to three data files with 219 KB).
