Abstract:

This dataset is the updated version of the dataset of ice-core deposition to stratospheric loading conversion factor and the tropical volcanic forcing of the past 1500 years (2.0) (https://doi.org/10.3974/geodb.2020.07.07.V1). In order to research the uncertainty of the atmospheric-loading to icecap-deposition conversion factor (LTD conversion factor), we added the distribution statistics (μ±σ) of LTD conversion factors of 1815 Tambora, 1963 Agung, and 1991 Pinatubo by using Monte Carlo random sampling of selected number of ice core records (10000 times). The authors used NH-LTDT (1.08±0.056) and SH-LTDT (1.29±0.066) of 1815 Tambora to update IVI2 (Ice-core Volcanic Index 2) tropical volcanic stratospheric aerosol loading reconstruction. The dataset is archived in one data file, and in .xlsx data format with data size of 72.1 KB.
