Abstract:
The Sentinel-2 Canopy Chlorophyll Content (CCC) Validation Dataset of Maize in Yucheng of China (2020) was developed based on the 78 points (LAI and SPAD field survey: September 18-21, 2020) to points (Sentinel-2 CCC: 20200901, 20200926) validation between the CCCSentinel (10 m) and CCCField (using SPAD x LAI as a proxy) in Yucheng, Shandong Province of China. The linear correlation analysis showed that Coefficient of Determination (R²) was 0.708, suggesting up to 70.8% of the CCCField variation can be determined by CCCSentinel in September in this region. The dataset includes: (1) CCCField data: LAI and SPAD data from field observations; and CCCSentinel data from CCC image (interpolated to corresponding observation date); (2) CCC image, retrieved using Sentinel-2 L2A data and SNAP Biophysical-Processor, with 10 m resolution. The dataset is archived in .shp, .tif and .xlsx data formats, and consisted of 19 data files with data size of 2.05 MB (compressed into one file with 918 KB).
