Abstract:

The Dataset of Grain Self-sufficiency Capacity on the Tibetan Plateau and its Adjacent Area (1985-2016) was developed based on the data from the statistical yearbooks. The dataset covers 202 counties (districts), in which the boundaries of 5 counties were clipped along 2500 m above sea levels. The dataset includes: (1) annual capacity for grain self-sufficiency on the Tibetan Plateau and its adjacent area during 1985-2016; (2) capacity for grain self-sufficiency in each province of the Tibetan Plateau and its adjacent area in different periods from 1985 to 2016; (3) average capacities for grain self-sufficiency at the county level on the Tibetan Plateau and its adjacent area from 2010 to 2016. The dataset is archived in .xlsx and .shp data formats, and consists of 8 data files with data size of 20.3 MB (compressed into one single data file with 6.58 MB).
