Abstract:
The Dinar Oasis River System are the rivers that maintain the Dinar River Oasis including Dinar River, Apaleikene River and Tushiluoke River, etc. Their main stream lengths are 157.53 km (Dinar), 105.17 km (Apaleikene), and 104.65 km (Tushiluoke), respectively. The geolocation of the mountainous part of Dinar River Catchment is between 41°54'40"N and 42°32'22" N, 83°30'52" E and 84°23'56"E. Its area is 3,176.32 km² (Albers projection) and its perimeter is 332.38 km (Lambert projection). About 50.42% of the catchment area is in Bayingol Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture (50.21% in Luntai, 0.21% in Hejing); 49.68% is in Kuche County of Aksu Administration Region, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. The elevation of the mountainous Dinar River Catchment was classified into 8 types. The dataset was developed based on Google Earth images, ASTER GDEM 30 m and in situ data. The dataset is consisted of (1) Dinar Oasis River system; (2) boundary data of the mountainous part of the Dinar River Catchment; (3) elevation classification of the mountainous part of the catchment. The dataset is archived in .kmz, .shp and .tif data formats, and consists of 30 data files with data size of 6.68 MB (compressed to 3 files with 4.84 MB).
