Abstract:
Ebinur Lake Basin Oasis is located in Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. The geo-location of this Oasis is between 44°23′32″N and 45°12′49″N, 80°46′24″E and 83°02′35″E. The Ebinur Lake Basin Oasis consists of 127 oases with a total area of 4,497.00 km². In the Ebinur Lake Basin, the main rivers are Bortala River, Kuitun River and Jinghe River. Their main stream lengths are 265.99 km, 178.49 km and 127.50 km separately. The main lakes are Ebinur Lake and Sailimu Lake, with an area of 1,445.56 km² and 464.20 km² respectively. The geo-location of the mountainous Ebinur Lake Basin is between 43°37′47″N and 45°41′19″N, 79°52′54″E and 85°05′24″E. Its area is 26,591.07 km². The basin is a transnational basin with about 99.22% of the total area in China (Among which, 51.96% is in Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, 45.51% in Tacheng Prefecture, 2.06% in Yili Administration Region, 0.41% in Shuanghe and 0.06% in Karamay, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region), and about 0.78% in Kazakhstan. The elevation was classified into 10 types in the mountainous Ebinur Lake Basin. The dataset was developed based on Google Earth images, ASTER GDEM 30 m and in situ data. The dataset is consisted of (1) boundary data of the Ebinur Lake Basin Oasis; (2) river system and lakes; (3) boundary data of mountainous part of the Ebinur Lake Basin; (4) elevation classification data of the mountainous Ebinur Lake Basin. The dataset is archived in .kmz, .shp and .tif data formats, and consists of 75 data files with data size of 39.9 MB (Compressed to 6 files with 25.4 MB).
