Abstract:
The artificial surface dataset of urban changes in six cities (Xishuangbanna, Yangon, Vientiane, Phnom Penh, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City) in the Greater Mekong Subregion (1990-2015) was developed based on Landsat TM/ETM /OLI images and object-oriented decision classification procedure. The artificial surface data was validated using in situ data, historical literatures, and Google Earth high resolution images. The dataset consists the data covering six time periods from 1990 to 2015 (1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010 and 2015) in the six cities, including Xishuangbanna, Yangon, Vientiane, Phnom Penh, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City. The spatial resolution is 30 m. The dataset is archived in .tif format, and consists of 180 data files with data size of 4.10 MB (compressed to one file with 2.49 MB).Browse
