Abstract:

The Qilian Mountains are located at the intersection of the eastern monsoon region, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau region and the northwest arid region. In order to understand how human activities impact the lake sediments and proxies in the Qilian Mountains Peripheral Endorheic Zone, the Lake Sediments and Proxies Dataset of Human Activities in the Qilian Mountains Peripheral Endorheic Zone was developed. The dataset includes: (1) the geographical location of 14 lakes in closed basins around the Qilian Mountains; (2) changes in palaeo-environmental proxies in terminal lake sediments in the Qilian Mountains and adjacent area since the Holocene; (3) changes in lithology and paleoenvironmental proxies of terminal lake sediments in the Qilian Mountains and adjacent area; (4) changes in paleoenvironmental proxies from typical records since the Holocene. The analysis paper based on the dataset was published in Acta Geographica Sinica, Vol. 78, No. 5, 2023.
